The Restaurant

The restaurant is in itself a celebration of the sea and its riches. Its location on the beach, the design of its interior areas, the magnificent terrace which contrasts with the variety of blue and green hues of the sea just a few feet from your table, the decorative elements that evoke the same movement of the waves, and the shimmering fish skin, help to create a casual, warm, friendly and fresh ambiance.

The tables dressed in immaculate white and deep blue accents that gives life to the casual elegance of the place is already one of the hallmarks of Café des Artistes del Mar.

The bar is intimate, serene and comfortable. Bar has a variety of wine and spirits enviable in quality and quantity. It is an ideal place for a business casual conversation, for a friends gathering, or just listen to some music while enjoying a good drink.

An outstanding feature of warmth and hospitality is our kitchen, while being similar as others in the industry, which has the peculiarity of being exposed on almost all sides. From the outside, customers can peek into the kitchen and the bakery areas as both lack walls and windows. This feature allows passersby to enjoy the food preparation process.

Executive Chef: Gerardo Sandoval Fernández:

Born in Ojo de Agua, Santiago Ixcuintla, Nayarit, Chef Gerardo Sandoval has over 23 years of experience in the food industry. He was Executive Chef at the Fiesta Americana hotel in Tepic and La Jolla de Mismaloya in Puerto Vallarta this experience earned him later the opportunity of becoming part of the traditional and internationally acclaimed Cafe des Artistes as Sub Chef.

As part of the Café des Artistes Group, due his high performance, enthusiasm and originality, he became Executive Chef of Café des Artistes del Mar at Punta de Mita, where he has shown all his talent with dishes that shine with creativity and good taste, characteristics that materialized in the recognition of 2008 Creative Chef.  In the 2010 edition, he was placed as a finalist for his sublime skill.
